About Peter
Peter Rylott is one of the most experienced equity release specialists in the country, with over two decades of dedicated practice in lifetime mortgages and later life lending. He began his career in financial services in 1998, initially advising on savings, investments, protection and pensions, before moving into specialist equity release and holistic financial planning roles at Aviva, where he spent nearly nine years. During that time Peter managed regulated financial services teams across the South Central and North West regions, specialising in equity release and pension transfers, and gained a reputation as both a highly capable adviser and a respected leader within the profession.
In 2013 Peter joined The Right Equity Release Limited as National Sales Manager, leading a company of regulated equity release specialists, before moving into a self-employed specialist adviser role at the firm in 2014. In January 2020 he moved to The Equity Release Experts, continuing to develop his nationwide practice before joining RightHomes Equity Release Limited in October 2023, where he plays a key role in the management of the business and in building a network recognised for exceptional advice and service.
His career has also encompassed inheritance tax planning and trust strategy, reflecting the breadth of knowledge he brings to every client conversation. He has maintained continuous registration with the Equity Release Council since 2004, a testament to his long-standing commitment to professional standards and best practice.
Peter is passionate about educating clients and referral partners alike, helping to dispel the myths and misconceptions that still surround equity release. He approaches every case by carefully considering all available alternatives before making any recommendation, and his deep understanding of the market, together with his close working relationships with lenders, allows him to access enhanced terms and tailored solutions for clients with often very specific objectives.
Based in Frodsham, Cheshire, Peter provides a nationwide face-to-face service and is equally comfortable meeting clients via video call or telephone.
